IPSUSA Seminars, Inc. hosted the 42nd International Pyrotechnics Society Seminar at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Grand Junction, Colorado, from July 10-15, 2016. Prof. Lori J. Groven (SDSMT) and Dr. Anthony P. Shaw (U.S. Army RDECOM-ARDEC) served as co-chairs.

This seminar was a great success, with strong attendance and a program featuring the work of researchers from around the world. Two IPS Seminars were held in Grand Junction before—one in 1988 and another in the year 2000.

The 2016 seminar also included memorable social events such as the welcoming reception, the Monday evening picnic, the companion tour, a rafting trip, and a tour of a local winery followed by the Thursday night banquet, among others.

We thank all of the presenters for their contributions. The keynote and invited presentations are highlighted below.
